This piece was inspired by A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase (1609–10) by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder, which hangs in the National Gallery in London. I loved the painting so much that I bought a postcard of it in the museum gift shop—never expecting it would one day inspire a collage!
