I adore a Liberty of London print and have quite a few items of Liberty print clothing. I’ve been collecting Liberty print papers for some time with an eye to using them in a collage. These small colorful floral prints are quite busy (even for me!) and don’t always play well together, but I used as many as I could in this piece. My mother Sally introduced me to Liberty prints, which she loved. When I was headed to London for the first time many years ago, she directed me to the Tudor-inspired Liberty of London store on Regents Street and asked that I bring her a yard or two of their iconic Tana Lawn fabric. The store is a truly magical place—one can imagine catching a glimpse of Elizabeth I in its oak and teak galleries reclaimed from old sailing ships. I’ve been a fan of Liberty prints ever since. Sally would approve!
Each print is part of a limited edition of 50. Prints are signed and numbered by the artist.
