Montgolfière No. 3

$300.00

I’ve always loved the imagery of “Balloonomania,” which began in 18th-century France with the Montgolfier brothers. Before their first manned balloon flight in 1783, at the suggestion of Louis XVI, the brothers successfully launched a sheep, a duck and a rooster—an event that inspired me to include a farm animal in this piece. The landscape features a fairy-tale castle.

Each print is part of a limited edition of 100.

Available in two sizes:

  • 14 in. x 17 in. (image size: 12 in. x 15 in., with a 1 in. margin all around)

  • 11 in. x 14 in. (image size: 10 in. x 12.5 in., with 0.5 in. side margins and 0.75 in. top and bottom margins)
