This piece was inspired by a painting by Hans Zatzka. His still lifes are more exuberant than those of the earlier Dutch Old Masters and often feature a wide variety of flowers. Echoing the richness of Zatzka’s work, this collage includes irises, roses, foxglove, tulips, lilacs, stock, primroses, narcissus and bluebells.
